Deep Red is an independent science-fiction trilogy from the creators of Iron Sky. The Extended Founders Round finances the final development phase of all three films: the Deep Red Bible and worldbuilding, trilogy screenplays, promotional content, and building the infrastructure for the Security Token Offering (STO).

Invest from €2,000 through a Simple Agreement for Future Tokens (SAFT) and receive Deep Red Tokens at €0.50 per token.

The planned €10 million Security Token Offering (STO), currently targeted for Q1 2027, is intended to finance production of the trilogy.

Once the STO reaches 50% of its €10 million target, your original Extended Founders investment will be reimbursed.
4. automated and transparent revenue share
But you keep your Deep Red Tokens entitling you an automated and transparent revenue share for eight years from the release of the first film.

The Extended founders' Round is intentionally more attractive than the future STO because early supporters take the greatest risk and make it possible for us to reach the production financing stage much sooner. We believe those who make that possible deserve to be rewarded.
In addition to preferential token pricing and the Early Capital Return Mechanism, Extended founders' also receive one further benefit not shown in the illustration: Producer credit in the opening credits and IMDb of all three Deep Red films.
We reserve the right to close the round earlier if sufficient funding is secured from other sources.

1. Join the Extended founders' Round
Invest a minimum of €2,000 through a Simple Agreement for Future Tokens (SAFT). Extended founders' receive Deep Red Tokens at a fixed price of €0.50 per token, compared with the planned STO average of approximately €1.00 per token.
2. Public Security Token Offering (STO)
The planned Security Token Offering (STO), targeted for Q1 2027, is intended to finance the production of the Deep Red trilogy. Extended founders' receive the same class of revenue-sharing tokens as STO participants, but at a lower fixed token price.
3. Early Capital Return Mechanism
This is what makes the Extended founders' Round unique.
When the STO reaches 50% of its €10 million funding target, the capital invested during the Pre-Round and the Extended founders' Round is planned to be repaid to investors.
Importantly, you continue to own all of your Deep Red Tokens, meaning your revenue-sharing rights remain unchanged.
In practice, your early investment functions as an interest-free development loan while your Deep Red Tokens continue participating in the trilogy's revenues according to the token terms.
4. Revenue Share
Revenue sharing is planned to begin following the release of the first Deep Red film (currently targeted for Q4 2029) and continues for eight years. Token holders participate in revenue sharing from the entire Deep Red trilogy, according to the revenue waterfall described in this White Paper.

why do we return the initial investment?
The Extended founders' Round finances the development of the Deep Red trilogy at a stage when no production financing is yet in place. Those early supporters make it possible to reach the point where the Security Token Offering (STO) can be launched.
Once the STO reaches 50% of its €10 million funding target, we plan to repay the original Pre-Round and Extended founders' Round investments. We have deliberately chosen this structure because we believe the people who made Deep Red possible at its earliest stage should be rewarded for taking that initial risk.
We therefore allocate part of the STO proceeds to repay those early investments while allowing investors to retain all of their Deep Red Tokens and continue participating in the trilogy's revenue share according to the token terms.
The total amount allocated to this Early Capital Return Mechanism is capped at €500,000, representing approximately 3.5% of the trilogy's estimated €15 million production budget.

why sto
Traditional film financing for independent international productions is outdated — slow, complex, and expensive. It depends on distribution deals as the foundation of the financing structure, which makes sense since that's where revenues are ultimately generated. However, for producers of mid-budget international films (€5–20 million), this model can easily become a trap.
Pre-sales often cover only 10–20% of the total budget, yet they determine access to the remaining financing. As a result, producers are frequently forced to sign early, unfavorable distribution agreements just to unlock other funding sources. This outdated dependency may get films made, but too often leaves producers — and potentially other investors — in a weak position within the revenue chain.
The Deep Red STO model breaks this cycle by offering a direct, transparent, and efficient financing mechanism that empowers producers to raise capital without sacrificing ownership or creative control. This is not crypto hype — it's a blockchain-based investment model designed to provide investors with full transparency, legally secured participation, maximum cost efficiency, and real-time traceability of profit shares.

These three films will be produced as a single, integrated production, generating substantial synergies and cost savings throughout the entire process — from development and shooting to post-production. In addition, the Security Token Offering (STO) structure will significantly reduce financing and legal expenses.
After accounting for these savings, the total production budget for Deep Red is €15 million (€5 million per film). Approximately one third of this amount will be covered by production incentives and local partnerships, leaving €10 million to be financed through the STO.
